This survey helps us know where we should focus our strategies!

Some of our strategies include:

-Student Support Specialist Wendy Butler at Jemtegaard Middle School and Canyon Creek Middle School and Tamara Crites at Washougal High School.

-Twice a year Drug Take Back in partnership with Washougal Police Department. In October 2019, we gathered over 500 lbs of unused medication!

-Parenting workshops for parents of 4th to 8th graders in both English and Spanish.

-Youth leadership and advocacy training.

-Positive Community Norms-working with youth and community members to promote positive connection in our community.

-Youth engagement in community service.

-Collin Kartchner information night about Social Media and Youth.

-Truth Among the Vapors Parent information Night.

On average, the survey takes between 5-10 minutes to complete.

Thank you in advance for making a difference! Feel to share with others who live and/or work in our wonderful community!

We are excited to see you this Thursday December 12th, 2 to 3:30 pm, East County Family Resource Center, 1702 C. Street, Washougal.

We will celebrate our successes by helping out Janus Youth Services with Welcoming Baskets for Youth who transition and get their first apartment.

Please find attached a list of items needed. This amount is for 20 baskets. We would like to build 3 to 5 if possible. Bring what works for you and Janus Youth services can use any extra items they get.

Also, feel free to bring your favorite holiday treat to share if you like. We will provide hot chocolate, water and holiday cheer.

On November 13th, Washougal Police officers stopped Washougal High School students "caught doing the right thing" by rewarding them with $5 Dutch Bros Coffee certificates for wearing their seatbelts. This was a part of the Target Zero Safe Driving Task Force "Click it Bro" program in partnership with Unite Washougal Community Coalition.

The Target Zero program is a goal to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries on Washington's roadways to zero by the year 2030. Find out more at targetzero.com.

Great day in the 'shoug! On December 6th, over 60 youth leaders were trained on how to advocate for positive community change! Thank you to all of our partners and dedicated community members! Special thanks to Paul Harris for his tireless efforts on behalf of our public health!

We are looking for individuals interested in being part of a collaborative team process.
