The Northeast News

We were so thrilled to see so many families come out to meet the teachers. Thank you also to the teachers for being at this event and creating such a warm and welcoming environment.

The admin team reviewed the school guidelines and procedures to ensure that we have a very successful year. The students were an amazing audience. All parents will receive a copy of the presentation in their email.

The Marine Corp. recruiters held a pull up challenge with lots of prizes. Northeast students are mentally and physically ready for any challenge.

There's no car problems our junior mechanics can't handle. From the classroom to the shop, our teachers prepare students for automotive skills they can use for life.

The student council decorated some faces, arms, and more to showcase everyone's pride in Northeast.

It was an amazing pep rally filled with great performances by the Rock Band, Marching Band, Dance Team, Cheer Team, and more. We loved celebrating the football team, the volleyball team, and X-country. Thank you to the Student Council, Ms. Cuevas, and Mr. DeFreeze for putting together this amazing assembly.

And although it was close, the Northeast Staff beat the students in the tug-of-war competition. Don't worry students, you will get your shot at a rematch at the next pep rally.

Library Resource of the month:

Students can enjoy books at any time online for free!!! We have a huge selection of grade level books, ESL books, easy reads, audiobooks and comics in MackinVia. Some books are unlimited, so your whole class could read the same title simultaneously (See category ESL whole class reads).

MackinVia EBooks! (MackinVia is available in the Portal and integrated on Blend).

Many of the guitar students love practicing their skills during lunch. We love the beautiful music they make together.

The Raider Band did an awesome job entertaining the crowd at Nelson this past Friday. On the sidelines or on the field, they had the crowd moving to the music.

It was a great night of football as the Raiders took on the Navarro Vikings. Although, we didn't come away with the win, the team had some terrific touchdowns and fought 'til the end. We are very proud of all the players. Win or lose, we will always be rooting for you!

Hello Families,

As you can see, it was another great Raider week. We want to remind students that every minute of learning matters. Tardy reports and tardy sweeps will be happening each week. It is important that students get to school and are in class by 9:05, and that they are in all classes on time. There will be consequences for students with 3 or more tardies in a week. Thank you for your assistance with this.

You can use this link to directly send an absence note to the school.

We welcome all parents, guardians, staff, and community members to attend the monthly CAC meetings. This is an opportunity to hear about the great things happening at Northeast, as well as, to come together to discuss any areas of growth or support needed.
