The dice are hot 🎲 Springville High Theatre presents Guys and Dolls — 7 show nights this November (12, 13, 14, 16, 19, 20, 21). Bring your friends and family and enjoy a classic!

SHS seniors can choose a teacher, administrator or staff that was a “Difference Maker” to them throughout their education from elementary through high school and honor them by gifting them a “I am a Red Devil Difference Maker” shirt and a thank you card. Cards and shirts are available to pick up in the front office. The senior then delivers the shirt and card to their Difference Maker before school, after school or at lunch.

There will be three sessions during the year where groups, sports and clubs encouraged to participate. A senior who is not involved in any specific group can participate in any session of their choice. Seniors involved in multiple groups can participate once in each session their group is apart of.

We encourage students to document the delivery with a short video and picture. Optionally, students can submit their videos to RedDevilDifferenceMaker@gmail.com for a compilation video for social media and to enter themselves and their Difference Maker into a drawing for a Reams gift card. Gift cards will be awarded at the end of each session.

So gather your friends and tell your Difference Maker that they made a difference to you! Fall session is underway!

Sophomores, it's time to schedule your meeting with your counselor for a CCR meeting. During your College and Career Readiness (CCR) meeting, we will review important topics to help you plan for the future. This includes exploring career interests, discussing future college and scholarship opportunities, and making sure you are on track with course planning and selection for next school year. These meetings are a great opportunity to check in on progress and ensure you're prepared for the years ahead.

Sophomore CCR meetings will run November 2-December 11.

UVU has implemented a new admissions process for seniors who have taken or are currently taking a UVU Concurrent Enrollment course and want to be considered for admission and scholarships for Fall 2027.

You should have received an email from the counseling office and an email from UVU with links and instructions for completing the new admissions process. Please check your email and follow the steps provided!

If you have questions or need help, check in with your counselor or contact the UVU Admissions office. Seniors must complete the Pipeline and submit their High School Transcript by February 1st to be considered for merit scholarships.

🧑‍🎓 Cap & Gown Orders — Priority Deadline: November 4
Order online through the Jostens Springville High School store, or check the informational packet sent home with students on October 20th.

📅 Key Application & Scholarship Deadlines

• BYU Priority Application Deadline: November 2 — Freshman applicants who meet the priority deadline receive extra consideration in BYU's holistic review process. (Regular & scholarship deadline: December 15.)
• SUU UCAW Full-Tuition Scholarship: November 15 — SUU is awarding at least one FULL-TUITION scholarship, renewable for 8 semesters, to an SHS senior just for applying during UCAW — no GPA requirement! Apply at suu.edu/apply.
• December 1 Priority & Merit Scholarship Deadlines — Mark your calendars for these major Utah universities: SUU (Priority Scholarship), University of Utah (Merit Scholarship), USU (Priority Scholarship), and Westminster University (Priority Deadline).

✉️ Letters of Recommendation & Brag Sheet
Many colleges and scholarships require recommendation letters. A few tips:

• Ask early — give recommenders plenty of time, and state your exact deadline.
• Provide details — share a resume or "brag sheet" highlighting your accomplishments and projects from their class.
• Say thank you — always follow up with a written thank-you note.
