Prayer Reminders Prayer Reminders

For those that pray durin the school day, a few reminders:

  • Permission slips needs to be on file (copies are available with Mrs. Kremer)
  • We have the boys' prayer room set up in F202 and the girls' prayer room set up in F203 for Monday-Thursday
  • Friday prayer is in J to accommodate a larger group of students
  • During the time for prayer, students need to make sure that they are using the time for the intended purpose and going back to class immediately after. We want you to be in class as much as possible while still having the time needed to observe religious beliefs.

Winter Registration at OCC Winter Registration at OCC

OCC's winter schedule will be posted on October 16. Priority registration is on October 26 and open registration is on October 27.

As we wait for a new counselor to be hired, I will meet with students about winter semester. These meetings will start next week and are first open to 12th adn 13th graders and will then open at later dates for younger students since they have more options available for college courses.

Once students meet with me, they can meet with an OCC counselor.

Door Dash Door Dash

Students are able to order food via Door Dash. However, they are not able to leave class to get their food, so they need to be strategic about when they order.

Additionally, we do not have a set place for Dashers to drop off food. Because of this, Dashers tend to leave food at a variety of locations, none of which are supervised.

Please order at your own risk.

Homecoming at WBHS Homecoming at WBHS

OEC students are able to attend WBHS's Homecoming on Saturday, October 10. Tickets can be purchased from me or Mrs. Kremer for $25. Money is due by Wednesday, October 7. On Thursday I will pick up the tickets from WBHS and distribute them to students on Thursday and Friday.

OEC Annual 5K for Charity OEC Annual 5K for Charity

Join us for our 11th annual 5K for Charity. Every year we have a 5K where the entrance to participate is items to support local organizations. This is a great event on October 30 and a wonderful way to give back to the community and get outside.

This year we are supporting three organizations by collecting items that they need:

Making Spriits Bright: New and gently used books for ages 0-18

Alternatives for Girls: tissues, paper towels, laundry detergent, pads, tampons, hygeine items, household essentials

The Nest: non-perishable, non-expired food items.

Start sending in your items on Monday to support a great cause!

OCC Clubs OCC Clubs

All OEC students are OCC students as well. This means that all the resources available to OCC students are availalble to our students, which is great! A great option for students are the OCC club offerings. As a small high school, we are only able to offer a small number of clubs, but OCC has more to choose from that students should defintely look into.

Here is the list of student organizations at OCC
