The new preK renovation project is underway!

We are excited to announce that construction has begun at the Abigail Adams School. For those of you who may not be aware, the Johnson ECC will be moving to a new, larger, renovated space to accommodate our ever growing population. This is such exciting news for our Weymouth community, staff, our present and future Johnson ECC students!

It is anticipated that this project will be complete for the Fall opening of the 2024-2025 school year. As we receive updates and additional information, we will be sure to share with our families.

Conferences:

Parent Conferences are on Tuesday and Wednesday 11/28, 11/29. If you need help booking an appointment you may call the school office.

Coming up this month is the Turkey Trot sponsored by our JECC Parent Council. See below for more information.

Safety Reminders:

• Anyone picking up your child that we have not met needs to be sure they have an ID with them. We will not release your child to anyone not on the pick up list and without and ID.
• All children must be in a car seat. See the link for MA car seat law.

We hope to foster the love of reading in our students. Please help us by helping your child read each day. Attached is a reading chart that your child can color each time they read a book. Bring the reading chart to school once all apples are colored and your child will receive a Super Reader sticker. You may choose to only read 10 books per month or submit as many reading charts as you want. We will be keeping track by classroom. If JECC students reach the goal of 10,000 books, we will have a Bubble party at the end of the year.

Parent Council provides many opportunities for you to connect with other parents and become involved in the Johnson ECC school community. Parent Council supports our students and teachers with educational programs, supplies, and more. Parent involvement is the foundation for school success. Have a suggestion or a talent to share? We want to know!

The next meeting is on Tuesday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. Parents are welcome to attend in person or via Google Meets.
