In Fundations, students are learning about bonus letters—the special rule where we double certain letters like f, l, s, and z after a short vowel (as in miss, hill, and buzz). They’re also practicing reading and spelling words with glued sounds such as -all, -am, and -an. As students work with these new patterns, they’re becoming more confident readers and writers, building fluency, comprehension, and strong spelling habits along the way.
