Farmington Middle School Newsletter
Our Principals' Press
We always enjoy watching our sports teams play and supporting them through all their hard work. Our after school clubs have started as well and we have had many students stay for strategic gaming, board games, card trading and our fishing club.
We encourage students to get involved in something so that you feel connected to our school. Parent Teacher Conferences are in October and it is hard to believe that a quarter of school will be over soon! Thank you to staff and students for a great start to the year.

Social Studies - Learning Geography
7th grade social studies is learning geography. Mr. Cummings' classes came to the library to connect literature and look at some fantasy book maps and identify landforms and features, then got to create their own worlds and maps using their social studies skills and standards. A lot of creativity in these students' map work!

The materials will get you up to speed on having weekly family meetings including new character/value topics, creating memories from the week, and staying organized. Frida says...
Hello everyone! It is your favorite dog, Frida here to give you the paw-tastic news!
This month I got to go to an assembly and show off my knight armor to all the Knights!
It was REALLY LOUD and the floor is very shiny. I have gotten used to being at school again and I really like it best when I can sit with some kids and let them pat me. It makes me feel good when I can help others because that is my job.
I am a very important dog at this school district I think, since they gave me a uniform now too. I will have my friend add the video so you can see me being a very important dog.
Love,
Notes from the Cafeteria
Students will need their ID# and money deposited in their account to purchase from the A La Carte Line at Middle School.
Lunch... Ladies??? From Lunch Lady Land?
Our lunch ladies dressed up for Spirit Week each day and they were too funny not to get a picture on Adam Sandler Day!

We have had some students complete the September Reading challenge, reading over 280 minutes for the month. This was a big challenge since everyone is still learning how to use the platform.
Now we have started a new challenge! Welcome to October! We are going to have an end of the month reward week where students can have time to come down to the library and enjoy some snacks, drinks and reading time.
Introducing Ms. Little, our new PLTW Teacher!
Last month we told you students were beginning their foot orthotics. Take a look at how these projects have came along! -Ms. Little
Counseling Center Notes
We look forward to seeing families during our Parent Teacher Conferences later in the month! See our counselor's Spooky Season of Self-Care suggestions here!
