Week 2 2026
Happy Friday!
House assembly days always bring excitement to Baker but there's something about our annual sorting ceremony that adds a bit of extra magic! We had a BLAST being back with our housemates and welcoming our new friends. If your child was placed in a house today, be sure to ask them all about their new house family!
What we're learning!
Students working to:
- determine the author's purpose for writing a text and the message they are sharing with the reader.
- create a list of memories to use as a resource when brainstorming ideas for writing.
- compose and decompose numbers up to 100,000 using place value and expanded notation.
- identify matter as a solid, liquid or gas.
- analyze primary and secondary sources.
Headphones
If possible, please send your 3rd grader to school with a set of headphones that can plug into their computer. It is helpful for each student to have their own pair to use throughout the day! Please keep in mind that headphones that are brought to school will be left in the students' desks for the remainder of the school year.
