From the Principal...

Hi MacArthur Families,

Thank you to the 76 families who took the time to complete our feedback survey regarding school newsletters. We intend to be practical in our communication while also being respectful of your inbox.

Based on your feedback, we will be shifting our communication format. We will continue with a monthly newsletter, and during the weeks in between, families will receive a short, practical “week ahead” message. Sixty-five percent of respondents shared a preference for some combination of monthly and weekly communication.

These weekly messages will be very brief and included directly in the body of the email, focusing only on major grade-level and schoolwide information. Our goal is to provide timely reminders and major updates without over-saturating your inbox.

Please note the following schedule moving forward:

The monthly newsletter will be sent on the first Friday of each month. The monthly newsletter will maintain it’s current structure and content.
Weekly “week ahead” updates will be sent on all other Fridays.
All communications will be sent at 4:00 p.m.

Look for our first weekly update next Friday! Until then, make it a great weekend!
Steve

Dress For Outdoor Recess

As the weather turns colder, please make sure your children are dressed to go out to recess. Unless it is raining, or the temperature/wind chill is too cold (below zero), the students will go out every day for two recesses. Please be sure to write your student's last name on a tag in their outerwear (hats, gloves, boots, snow pants, coats), so we can find the owner when things end up in our lost and found. If your scholar does not have snow pants AND boots, they will not be able to play off the blacktop when there is snow on the ground.

Busses and Arrival/Dismissal

Go Riteway Bus Company's phone number is 262-677-3282. Please reach out to them regarding questions on your child's bus route, times of pick up or drop off, and other questions regarding the bus. Click below for the E-Link used to check your scholar's current routing plan (username is student ID, password is the phone number in Skyward - please make sure all dashes/spaces/parentheses as removed).

If you would like to sign up for the bus, please contact the office.

If there is a routing update or change in your bussing plan at any point, please alert your scholar's teacher as well as the front office.

Please complete the DISTRICT VOLUNTEER APPLICATION using the button above if you are interested in volunteering at school or chaperoning a field trip with MacArthur. This form MUST be filled out and the background check needs to be cleared (it can take up to two weeks to clear) if you would like to help. The background checks are good for 3 years, after which they must be renewed.

If you are visiting the school and have an appointment, please bring your I.D. with you so you are able to get a visitor's badge to enter the school.
