Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a grant opportunity for schools to provide children with fresh fruits and vegetables at no cost during the school day. The goal of the program is to promote the consumption of fruits and vegetables among school-aged children, educate students about the benefits of fruits and vegetables, and expose them to new varieties.

Teaching children healthful eating habits may help promote a healthy school environment, improve student health, and help combat childhood obesity. The FFVP introduces school children to a variety of produce that they otherwise might not have had the opportunity to sample. Students participating in this opportunity are offered items to try, they are not required to eat anything.

If you do not want your child to participate please fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/RR4Lm7mcNvAeNZZA7
