A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Finally, beautiful warm weather has arrived. Let's cross our fingers that it will last at least through the long weekend! Don't forget that tomorrow is wear Red, White, and Blue Day in honor of Memorial Day.

This week in Library our third, fourth, and fifth-grade students performed Reader's Theater plays for their friends in the younger grades. Third graders performed Rafunzel, fourth graders performed The Cheetah and the Sloth, and the fifth graders performed The Pig Who Cried Wolf. Everyone did a fantastic job and the plays were very entertaining. I do have to give a special shout-out to Hudson Crosman, who played the Sloth in The Cheetah and the Sloth. He gave a hysterical performance that had students and adults roaring with laughter. Well done, everyone!

We look forward to seeing you all next Friday at 2:00PM for our Spring concert. Please notify the office no later than 1:00PM if you intend to bring your child/children home with you.

Our concert dismissal will be as follows:

K-2: At the end of the concert, parents will sign out their students with the classroom teachers. Teachers will remain in the gym. Parents will walk students to K-2 wing and students will get backpacks off their hooks.

3-5: Parents will sign out their students with the classroom teachers. Students will have left their backpacks in the main hall. Students will walk up to the hall, get their backpacks, and meet their parents. Teachers will remain in the gym.

I hope you enjoy the long holiday weekend and have something fun planned to kick off the unofficial start of summer!

CHILDCARE OPTIONS

YMCA AFTER SCHOOL CHILDCARE

Dear Families!

Do you need After-school care (known as Y Care) for the 2024-2025 school year? Did you know the Bath Area Family YMCA offers care in the RSU1 Schools? We also offer care during half/full days and vacation weeks (at the Bath Area Family YMCA)! If you are interested or in need of care, please contact Kayla Royer at (207) 443-4112 ext. 39 or email kayla@bathymca.org for information and registration forms. Registration is now open for the 2024-2025 school year.

For questions about Y Care, please visit our webpage along with our family handbook available online.

https://bathymca.org/ycare/ Any billing, payment, or financial aid questions, please reach out to Jackie at Jacqueline@bathymca.org. * NOTE: Currently there is no Y Care available at Phippsburg School, but there may be afternoon openings for Phippsburg students at Fisher-Mitchell School in Bath.

In order to start the licensing process at Phippsburg School, the YMCA needs 10 families attending consistently in the morning and afternoon.

If there are any parents in Phippsburg providing before/after school care or willing to babysit after school, please notify Mrs. Doran. There have been a few inquiries by parents of kindergartners, but only one provider: SunKids 443-2605.
