FAFSA/ORSAA

Complete the FAFSA or ORSAA to see if you're eligible for federal financial aid.

Step 1:

Create your FSA ID (A student creates one and a parent creates one, too). See your slide deck in G. C. 2027 (start on slide 7, questions, see slide 13).

https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

Step 2:

Complete your FAFSA or ORSAA (for Oregon students without a social security number). If you are not sure which form to do, go to the FAFSA/ORSAA Filter Tool https://oregonstudentaid.gov/fafsa-orsaa/fafsaorsaa-filter-tool/

Oregon Promise

AFTER you finish the FAFSA, take FIVE-SEVEN minutes and fill out the Oregon Promise (Grant) which can be used for two years

  • Up to $2, 280-$4,716 per year to be used at an Oregon Community College

  • If you have a 2.0 GPA or higher

  • You MUST complete the FAFSA by June 1, 2027 at the LATEST (this is a once in a lifetime chance. You can NEVER go back and do it later).

  • ALL seniors should apply for this, as future plans could change. This acts either as two years of free tuition or it lets you know your options after high school.
