TECH TALK
- Screen Time and Limits
- Be very AWARE and CAREFUL about how much screen time our students have this summer.
- Too much screen time can affect sleep, focus, and play.
- Families can set healthy limits by choosing tech-free times, like during meals, and before bedtime.
- When you are in the car, talk about what they are seeing around them - this is a great way to build vocabulary and geographical awareness (they need to know where things are in town and where they live).
- Messaging in Games:
- Games like Minecraft and Roblox let players message each other, which can be fun but sometimes risky.
- We have had students in our school who were contacted by people they did not know and who were exposed to inappropriate content in messages.
- Never share personal information (like your name, school, or address) and tell a trusted adult if someone makes you uncomfortable.
- Videos/YouTube Autoplay
- Autoplay can keep videos playing without stopping, which sometimes leads to content that’s not made for kids.
- Watching together and using YouTube Kids can help keep video time safe and age-appropriate.
- Watch movies together and talk about them. Movies are longer which helps kids build stamina for learning
Student Information - ISAT & IRI
The following section gives instructions on how to find your student's test data in their Powerschool account.
Assessments Results
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As the 2024-2025 school year has wrapped up, we want to provide you with information on the best way to access your child’s assessment scores.
The ISAT is the state’s comprehensive assessment for students in 3rd through 8th and 11th grade that tracks student progress in key areas such as English Language Arts, Math, and Science. The students in 3rd – 8th grade take the ELA and Math ISAT while students in 5th, 8th and 11th grade also take a Science ISAT.
If you have questions about your child’s ELA or Math ISAT score report, you can review the "Understanding Your Student's Scores" guide (Spanish Version) which breaks the score report down into easy-to-understand sections. There is also a guide to the Science ISAT score report (Spanish Version).
The IRI is the state’s reading assessment. The May IRI is used to test whether students in K through 3rd grade have the skills they need to be successful readers
The scores have been uploaded into PowerSchool and are now available for your review. Here’s how to access those scores. (Please Note: This information is only accessible through a web browser, not the PowerSchool App.)
· Log into your parent PowerSchool account at https://ps.d91.k12.id.us/public/. If you do not have a PowerSchool account, contact the D91 Technology Department at 208-524-7886.
· Once you’re logged in, click on the PLS Vault Documents tab on the left-hand side of the page.
o From the Folder drop down menu, click on the score report you would like to view.
o Click on the download button at the bottom of the screen.
Take care and have a great summer!

Every grade level (4th-6th) had better results than last year!
Highlights include:
- 7.6% increase in Math Proficiency in grades 3-6 which was the HIGHEST percent increase in D91
