No School: February 16

Remember: Wenatchee High School will have no school on Monday, February 16 in observance of Presidents Day. Enjoy your three-day weekend, and we'll see you on Tuesday!

Dismissing your student from class early? Follow these steps!

We want to ensure that picking up your student early is as seamless as possible. To help our office staff and teachers, please follow these guidelines for early dismissals:

  • Advance Notice Required: Please provide at least one hour’s notice prior to picking up your student.

  • How to Notify Us: You may send a written note with your student to be turned in to the Attendance Office, or send a text to 509-663-8117 or email to whsattendance@wenatcheeschools.org.

  • Required Information: All requests must include the student’s full name, date of birth, and specific pick-up time.

  • Timing Guarantees: Because we are unable to call classrooms during instructional time, and we receive a high volume of last-minute requests. We cannot guarantee your student will be ready in time if notice is given less than one hour in advance.

  • End-of-Day Cutoff: Any requests made after 2:45 PM cannot be guaranteed for release before the regular end-of-day dismissal.

Golden Apple Indoor Percussion and Colorguard Kick off Competition Season

Golden Apple Indoor Percussion and WHS Colorguard kicked off their competition season in Spokane last weekend. Indoor Percussion brought home first place in their event and Colorguard won second place – an incredible achievement for GAIP’s first-ever competition and the colorguard reigning state champs!

Colorguard is competing with their 2026 show, Dreams of Arakas! Way to represent WHS with your hard work, focus, and growth. For Indoor Percussion, a first place victory in the first competition of their inaugural season is a testament to the teamwork, discipline, and passion of the students and their coaches.

WHS will host the Colorguard and Indoor Percussion State Championships on Saturday, March 28th! Come support the arts in our community and the work these incredible performers have put in this year.

Litterbox Competition Raises Over $13,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

This week, WHS hosted the annual Litterbox competition VS Eastmont! Students from both schools competed to see who could raise more money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and this year’s recipient Ella. The week culminated in a rivalry basketball game against EHS on Tuesday!

We saw such an outpouring of support from everyone at both schools. Wenatchee students raised $5,738.13, and together, both schools raised $13,400.54 to fulfill Ella’s wish of traveling to Disneyland by train!

A huge THANK YOU to our ASB Spirit Coordinators, Hector Camacho Torres, Olivia Dillman, and Ayline Santana Garibay, for all of your hard work putting together this event, and CONGRATULATIONS to the WHS boys basketball team for winning your face-off against Eastmont.

The Panther boys swim & dive team hosted the District V championship meet at the James Elwyn Aquatic Center yesterday, where the boys brought home their third district title in four years! Good luck to our Wenatchee swimmers and divers at the state meet.

Our staff and team rallied to host 7 schools at districts at WHS after Moses Lake needed to cancel. A huge thank you to Coach Pringle and our other coaches, parents, and volunteers for working hard to make it happen!

⭐ Special congratulations to Aiden Grigsby for being named Swimmer of the Meet and to Ben Sagerser for being awarded Diver of the Year!
