We've done it again for the 4th year in a row! New Hope Elementary has been nominated for the BEST Elementary School in Forsyth County! As Veterans Day approaches, we are honored to invite our students and their families with a veteran or an actively serving member in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces to our annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Program on November 11.

This event is an opportunity for our school community to come together and honor the brave men and women who have served our country.

Event Details:

• Date: Wednesday, November 11th, 8:15-9:30AM.

• Breakfast will begin at 8:15, followed by the program at 8:45.

• Location: New Hope Elementary School

We will begin the morning with a breakfast to express our gratitude to the veterans in attendance. Following the breakfast, we will move into our school's gym for a special program and parade dedicated to honoring and recognizing the sacrifices and service of our veterans.

If you have a veteran who plans to attend the breakfast and program, or would like to nominate a veteran to be recognized during the event, we kindly ask you to complete the RSVP and nomination form using the link below by Monday, November 2nd.

Your RSVP will help us ensure that we can accommodate everyone comfortably and your veterans will receive the recognition they deserve.

We look forward to coming together as a community to honor our veterans and show our appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice.

As you are making plans for this fall, please add the 2026 Dr. Jim and Peggie Morrow Glow Run into your family fun and run with New Hope Elementary on November 1 at Forsyth Central High School! Sign up HERE now for the lowest cost! Pricing will increase this Saturday, October 10.

This year, all participants will receive a custom Glow Run medal and t-shirt. When you sign up, make sure to click New Hope Elementary as your school! The school that has the most participation percentage, based on total student population numbers, will receive $1,000 for PBIS or similar programming .

We hope to see lots of Nighthawks on November 1!

If your student needs to go home a different way than their USUAL form of transportation, please fill out the Afternoon Transportation Form located HERE and on our website under Quick Links. The form closes every day at 1pm after which time we will notify classroom teachers of any changes. Thank you for not emailing or calling the teacher directly, as these messages often go overlooked during instruction time throughout the school day. You do NOT need to use this form if you are checking your child out early.

Please help our students practice responsibility by having them bring all their necessary items to school in their backpack in the morning, including their lunch box. Please see the flyer below for more details. Thank you for helping our Nighthawks S.O.A.R.!
