Grade-Level: 7th Grade grade-level students are wrapping up their study of scale and scale factor, building an understanding of how measurements change proportionally in maps, drawings, and real-world models.

  • Video: Scale Factor
  • Video: How to Make a Scale Drawing

Honors: During the month of January, 7th Grade Honors students are learning about proportional relationships, focusing on how quantities relate to one another and how these relationships appear in tables, graphs, and real-world situations.

  • Video: Introduction to Proportional Relationships
  • Video: Equations of Proportional Relationships

Accelerated Honors (Algebra 1): Students have completed the first three units and are now preparing for a summative assessment. This assessment gives students an opportunity to review and apply skills from earlier units in preparation for future Keystone exams. We encourage students to revisit content by reviewing their notes, previous units, and using the archived math newsletters linked at the bottom of this newsletter, which include helpful instructional videos from September through December.
