Information regarding returning student enrollment came out for parents last week. If you previously had a Parent Portal account, you should have received an email about completing/updating online registration. Please make sure to check your spam folder if you never received an email. Should you have issues with completing registration, please reach out to our front office as soon as possible. Registration must be completed before July 25th.
Strawbridge Studios will host Senior Pictures for PCSVA students on Friday, August 2 from 12:30-3:00pm in the Library of Person High School. You will need to enter on the gym side of the building and follow the designated walkway with signs.

Full Senior Portrait Sessions: there will be a variety of background options including Yearbook Portraits, Indoor Casual, Cap & Gown.
Things to bring to your senior session:
Yearbook Portraits:
o Ladies: Must bring a spaghetti strap or off the shoulder top
o Gentlemen: Must bring a white plain t-shirt.
• Cap & Gown:
• Men: Must bring a White-Collar shirt and tie to wear under the gown.
• Women: Must bring a spaghetti strap Top.
• Indoor and Environmental Casual portraits: Bring extra outfits, props, or any other personal items that you would wish to have in your portraits (For example - sports equipment, pets, or personal memorabilia items).

For Full Senior Portrait Sessions, there will be a variety of background options including formal, contemporary and environmental. Please be sure to bring multiple outfit choices for the various backgrounds.
To sign up for a Full Senior Portrait Session, click on the Sign Up button next to the appointment time of your choice. Click Submit and Sign Up at the bottom of the page. Fill out your information on the next screen, then click Sign Up or Sign Up & Pay Now. Please be sure to include a valid email address. This address will be used for appointment confirmation and proof delivery. Enter your payment details for your sitting fee ($29.99) if requested. Confirm your appointment. You will receive a confirmation email to notify you that your appointment has been booked.

On August 5th from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, Person High School will be hosting their Athletic Leadership Conference for all rising 9th-12th Grade students wishing to participate in athletics next school year. The conference will be at the PHS gym and admission is free for students. Please save this date and make sure your child plans to attend if they are interested in athletics at PHS! PHS is asking that students RSVP by June 4th.

Piedmont Community College Calendar
We align with the traditional school calendar with PCS; the first day for students is Monday, August 18, 2025. PCSVA utilizes the Google Workspace platform where teachers will instruct using both Google Meet and Google Classroom. Students enrolled in grades 9-12 also participate in courses through NC Schools of Science and Math. Courses for students who are enrolled at PCC will begin on Monday, August 18, 2025. PCSVA courses are asynchronous on Wednesdays.
Our program is designed to focus on effectively providing a high-quality, virtual learning environment for all students and we ask that families commit to being enrolled for the entire school year. Student engagement is critical in the virtual learning environment; therefore, students will be expected to keep their cameras on during synchronous (live) instruction with their teachers and peers. Attendance will be taken based on this policy. There will also be opportunities daily for students to work asynchronously and having parent/family support is strongly encouraged.
While we are able to instruct our students virtually, all district and state-mandated assessments will need to be conducted in person onsite at our location. Assessment schedules and detailed instructions will be provided in advance of each district and state-mandated assessment for 6-12 students.
