President's Message
Dear Families,
We are so excited for our upcoming Haunted House socials—one of the most anticipated JRMS traditions of the year! These events are made possible by the creativity, time, and generosity of our school community – and the kids LOVE IT!
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We still need help in several areas, including setting up the maze, decorating, and creating spooky scenes. Whether you can lend a hand for a little while or take on a larger role, your support will help make the experience unforgettable for our students. Please review the opportunities below and sign up wherever you can. Thank you for helping us bring this special JRMS tradition to life!

Grade Level Socials: Socials are an after-school activity that takes place from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. The cost is $25 per student and includes food and snacks. Students attending must have a signed permission slip (links below). Additionally, volunteers and donations are needed for each grade.
10/26 - Grade 5 Social
10/27 - Grade 6 Social
10/28 - Grade 7 Social
10/29 - Grade 8 Social
And be sure to mark your calendars for another student and family favorite coming up the week after Halloween:
- Floor Hockey Scrimmage with the Danbury Hat Tricks – Wednesday, November 4th – 4pm to 5:30pm – More to come!
- JRMS Night at the Danbury Hat Tricks – Saturday, November 7th at 7 pm (vs. the Motor City Rockers) – JRMS students will sing the National Anthem on the ice at the start of the game. Tickets are free to all JRMS students, but they must be accompanied by a ticketed adult (this is not a drop off event). Scroll below for more information.
As a PTA, we are ever mindful that supporting our kids takes a village, and many hands truly do make light work. We value the opportunity to collaborate with our school administration and parent volunteers to bring fun, enriching activities to our students and the entire school community. We consider it an honor to work alongside so many to strengthen JRMS, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support.
In Partnership,
Beatrix Eriksen, President – Grade 8 Parent
Meredith Schuchard, President-Elect – Grade 6 Parent

INDOOR RECESS BOARD GAMES NEEDED
JRMS Needs Your Donations!
Indoor recess doesn’t have to mean staring at the clock! Our middle schoolers could use a little more fun on those rainy and too-cold-to-go-out days, so we’re collecting gently used board games to help keep them entertained during indoor recess. If you have a board game at home that’s been sitting on the shelf collecting dust, send it our way and give it a second life with the JRMS crew. A little game of Monopoly, Uno, Connect Four, or whatever you have could mean a lot less “I’m bored!” around here. Let’s stock the shelves with games and give our Tigers something fun to do when they’re stuck inside!
JRMS FAMILY NIGHT AT THE DANBURY HAT TRICKS IS BACK!
Free Tickets For Students with a Ticketed Adult
Saturday, November 7th @ 7 pm - Danbury Ice Arena; 1 Independence Way; Danbury, CT 06810
JRMS students will be singing the National Anthem on the ice!
Tickets are free to all JRMS students, but they must be accompanied by a ticketed adult (this is not a drop off event).
