A World of Traditions Under One Roof
Our Multicultural Night was a wonderful success!
It was truly heartwarming to see so many families come together to celebrate the rich diversity of our school community. Families proudly shared their cultures through food, displays, traditions, and meaningful conversations. The evening was filled with learning, laughter, and connection.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event so special. A special appreciation goes to our amazing "The Equity Committee" for organizing such a beautiful event and to our Art Teacher "Ms Kara Lee" for leading the creative decoration project that made the space so vibrant and welcoming.
We are also grateful to all staff members who supported and participated in the evening. Your teamwork and dedication made this celebration unforgettable!
Please enjoy the attached pictures highlighting some of the wonderful moments from the night.
Lost & Found
Thank you so much to all the parents who took the time to check our Lost & Found display during conferences.
We truly appreciate your help! Please take a moment to look through the attached items that are still waiting to be claimed. Any unclaimed items will be lovingly donated after Friday, February 27.
Parents are more than welcome to stop by and check the Lost & Found on school days between 8:50 a.m. and 3:35 p.m.
We’d be happy to help reunite any missing items with their owners!
Ivy Hill Book Drive
February 20 – March 20
In honor of National Read Across America Day
Ivy Hill is hosting a Book Drive to support Bernie’s Book Bank and Books4Cause, helping provide books to children and communities in need.
What to Donate:
New and gently used books for children and adults (textbooks and foreign-language books welcome).
Our Goal:
1,000 books (about two per student)! If we reach our goal, the school will earmark additional funds to purchase new books for the Ivy Hill library.
Drop donations in the collection bins near the front entrance between February 20 and March 20.
Thank you for helping us spread the joy of reading
5 Essentials Survey
NEED 20% Parent Participation by March 13!
We are asking our parents to please participate in the 5Essentials Survey
Please note: A parent supplement report will only be generated if at least 20 percent of a school’s parents complete the survey. Our response rate is below. The survey closes on March 13.
Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child’s school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.

Regular attendance at school is an essential part of each student’s educational experience in District 25. If your child will be absent, we ask that you report the absence using the method designated for your school, listed below.
Please notify the office if your child is absent, late, or leaving early:
-
Attendance Hotline: 847‑398‑4275 (press 1 & leave a message)
-
Email: ihoffice@sd25.org
If the school office has not been notified of a child’s absence by 9:05 a.m., the school will contact the parent/guardian. If they cannot be reached, the school will attempt to contact the emergency contacts listed on the student’s emergency form (included in the registration packet).
These procedures are in place to ensure families are informed each day and that all students are accounted for and safe.
Gym & Recess Participation Guidelines
Excusing Children from PE - Physical Education
Parents may request that their child be excused from Physical Education for one day due to a medical reason. Any absence beyond one day requires a physician’s note.
For elementary students, physician orders must clearly state any restrictions for both Physical Education and Recess. Students who are unable to participate in Physical Education may not participate in school-sponsored sports during that time.
