2025-2026
A Message from Mrs. Williams
We’re excited to allow students to wear Halloween costumes to school on Friday, October 31! It’s a fun way to celebrate, but please note that all costumes must follow the guidelines outlined in the GLHS Student Handbook.
To ensure a safe and positive environment, here are a few important reminders:
- No masks or full face paint are permitted.
- Costumes must adhere to the school’s dress code.
- Inflatable costumes are not allowed.
- If a costume doesn’t meet the dress code, students will be asked to change or have an alternative outfit brought to them.
We encourage students to be creative and have fun while making sure costumes are appropriate for the school setting. Let’s make this a safe and enjoyable day for everyone!

SchooLinks Spotlight
College App & Transcript Tracking
This week in SchooLinks, students can focus on tracking their college applications and requesting transcripts to ensure everything is submitted on time. SchooLinks allows students to monitor the status of each application, stay organized, and keep important deadlines on their radar—all in one place.
Encourage your student to:
-
Review their list of colleges in SchooLinks
-
Request transcripts for schools they are applying to
-
Track application progress and follow up on any required materials
Staying organized during application season helps reduce stress and ensures nothing is missed. This is a big step toward reaching their postsecondary goals, and we’re here to support them every step of the way!
If you or your student have questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out to their school counselor for support.

PASS Room Calendar
Our PASS (Positive Academic Support Solution) Room is now open after school! It is open Monday - Thursday from 3:40 PM - 5:00 PM, and is located in the ASC Lab (H163A). The PASS Room is operated by GLHS teachers who are ready and willing to provide academic support on assignments.
Visual & Performing Arts Gifted Education Identification
Each year, school districts in Ohio are required to offer an opportunity for students in grades K-12 to be identified as gifted in the area of Visual and Performing Arts. The identified areas of giftedness for Visual and Performing Arts include Visual Arts, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Drama/Theater, and Dance. If you know of a student that may be gifted in an area of the Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) learn more about the identification process.
