On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Michigan City Area Schools is inviting the ommunity to have a discussion about the future of K-8 programming. There will be a presentation from Fanning Howey architects and then we will have a discussion about programming options and upcoming facility updates. Please join us on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 6-7:30 in the Michigan City High School Cafeteria (enter through Main Entrace, Door A).

Information has been sent home to families about picture day on Thursday. All students will have their picture taken whether or not they have ordered pictures. These will be used for school ids and for the yearbook.

Please take a look at the Do's and Don'ts listed below for ensuring that our parking lot is safe for students and families. By following the directions listed, we will have smooth drop off and pick up.

Please remember that if you do not plan to park, your child needs to be ready to leave your car as soon as the doors open.

• Please enter and exit through the front door only.
• Please push the button at give your name and purpose of visit when asked.
• Once entering the building, please go immediately to the office.

If your child is going to be absent, please call the office by 9:00 AM. If you do not reach someone, please leave a message.

Please remember to call by 1:30 if you have a change in dismissal plans - i.e. riding the bus instead of being picked up. After 1:30, we cannot guarantee that the student and teacher will be able to get the information.

Please make sure that you reach out with any questions or concerns. We are here to work together to make sure your child has a great school year!
