SBDM ELECTIONS

Longbranch Elementary School has a council (The Site-Based Decision Making Council or S.B.D.M. Council) comprised of teachers, parents and the school principal. This council is the decision-making body for Longbranch Elementary School. The S.B.D.M. Council establishes policies and standards for Longbranch through committee input. Committees are comprised of parents (we are seeking 3 parents, one parent being a minority representative) and teachers to address a specific topic or area of concern. With the exception of the principal, the council members are elected for a one year term. The S.B.D.M. Council meets regularly, usually once each month. Meetings are announced in advance and open to the public (except issues which require Executive Session). Elections for SBDM will be held by the largest parent group, PTO. Elections will be held on 4/24/25 from 5-7pm at LBES. If you are interested in running for SBDM, please complete the information below to submit a biography for voters to review prior to the elections.

The bios are due NO LATER THAN April 19th, 2025 through this form.

Please click this form to nominate yourself for a seat on SBDM council.
