A message from Mrs. Clark
Henrietta ISD Families -
Spring break is here, and we hope your family enjoys a few days to rest and recharge. We look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready for the final stretch of the semester after this week with no classes.
When we return, STAAR testing will be just around the corner for our students in grades 3 through high school. The specific testing dates are listed below. Please remember you can help by making sure your child gets a good night’s sleep, arrives on time, and knows you’re proud of the effort they’re putting in. A little encouragement goes a long way.
We are incredibly proud of our Henrietta boys basketball team for finishing 4th in the entire state last night. What an amazing ride this season has been! Our players and coaches have represented our community with heart, determination, and pride every step of the way. You have made history for Henrietta and created memories that our community will cherish for years to come. Congratulations on an outstanding season! I also want to highlight what a tremendous year our teams have had overall!
The pride of our community felt in the picture below says it all. We can never say thank you enough to our students, staff, and community for supporting our students in everything they do. We are so incredibly thankful for the culture of excellence we are creating - TOGETHER!
Have a safe and relaxing spring break, Bearcats. We’re excited for a strong finish to the school year.

Technology Tips
Why A Good Password Matters
Passwords are the first line of defense for your online accounts, both personal and
professional. Regularly updating them reduces the risk of hackers gaining access if your
information is ever compromised. Even strong passwords can be exposed through data
breaches or phishing attempts, so changing them often keeps your accounts safer.
Tips for Creating Complex but Memorable Passwords
1. Use a passphrase: Combine random words into a phrase, e.g.,
BlueTiger$Coffee8Sun.
2. Mix character types: Include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
3. Substitute letters with symbols: Replace “a” with @, “i” with !, or “o” with 0.
4. Make it personal—but not obvious: Use something meaningful only to you, like
a hobby, favorite food, or song lyric.
5. Use a pattern or acronym: Take the first letters of a sentence you can
remember:
o “I love teaching 5th graders math at 9AM!” → ILT5Gm@9
Pro Tip #1: Consider a password manager to store strong passwords so you don’t have
to remember them all. Bitwarden https://bitwarden.com/ is a great free option that you
can access and use across multiple devices.
Pro Tip #2: Setup Multi- Factor Authentication (MFA), when possible, in conjunction
with a complex password for even better security.
Tips from Chief Nash
For a safe spring break, always use the buddy system, stay aware of your surroundings, and keep family informed of your itinerary. Protect your belongings in crowded areas, secure travel documents in a hotel safe. Avoid sharing real-time location on social media and trust your instincts regarding new acquaintances.

STAAR Testing
Families, it is that time of year when our campuses will be testing several days in the month of April. Please don't schedule any appointments for your students on these days, and remember, visitors aren't allowed on campus on testing days. Help your students get a good night's rest and eat a good breakfast to help them have the best start possible to their day. We know our students are ready for these assessments because of their hard work and the hard work of our staff!
