Dear Woodcrest Sharks and Families,
It's hard to believe that August is already here! I hope you and your child(ren) are enjoying the summer days, and getting to spend time with your friend and family.
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as the new principal of Woodcrest Elementary School. I am truly honored to join the Woodcrest community.
Professionally, I have 18 years of educational experience, the last ten of which have been in Cherry Hill Public Schools. I have served as the Secondary Literacy Instructional Coach, a Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction, and most recently as an Assistant Principal at Rosa International Middle School. I can honestly say that my most rewarding professional experiences have been in the school building, working hands-on alongside teachers, staff and students. For this reason, I am thrilled to be joining you as part of the Woodcrest Elementary School community.
On a personal note, I am also the parent of two elementary-aged children. As many of you will agree, being a parent is the most challenging and rewarding job I hold. I am humbled to be entrusted with your child’s safety and education each day. I take this responsibility seriously as I know the challenges you face each day to ensure your child has a positive and meaningful educational experience.
I look forward to getting to know all of the students and staff, as well as partnering with the many families and community organizations supporting our school. One the most important aspects of my role at Woodcrest will be to continue fostering strong relationships among our students, staff and families. Our students learn best when teachers and parents are connected. I truly believe in our Woodcrest motto that #togetherWEcan.
The final weeks of summer are bittersweet. It can be hard to say goodbye to relaxing summer days, while also anticipating the fresh start of a new school year! Over the next few weeks, please be on the lookout for Woodcrest Smore newsletters. They will contain important information and dates for the upcoming school year.
I am eager to welcome our Woodcrest Sharks to school on Tuesday, September 3. I am ready for an exciting year filled with inquiry, learning and fun!
