A Message from the Principal
Lake Dolphin Families,
Our recent Open House was a beautiful reminder of what makes our school community so unique. Seeing our classrooms filled with families was a powerful testament to WHO we are... a community built on connection, hard work, and shared pride! The feedback from our families has been incredibly heartwarming, and we are so grateful for your continued support and partnership.
Sometimes, though, it takes a fresh set of eyes to remind us just how special our "everyday" really is.
Recently, a teacher from another school visited Lake. After spending the day observing our classrooms and common spaces, she stopped by my office. "This place is incredible," she said. "Even at the very end of the day, your students are working so hard with such high-level engagement. It... it feels like everyone is getting ready to be filmed in a documentary!"
As if on cue, I looked out my window and saw our Dolphin Broadcast crew walking by with their equipment. I laughed and said, "That’s amazing to hear... and look, there is the film crew now!"
We shared a great laugh, but the moment stuck with me. We are so fortunate that we "get to live" this story every single day. What might seem like a normal Tuesday to us is actually something phenomenal when viewed from the outside.
THANK YOU to our dedicated staff and our wonderful families for making Lake such a special place to LEARN and GROW! We truly are living a story worth telling!
As a friendly reminder, there is no school on May 25th in observance of Memorial Day, and Thursday, June 4th is our last day of school and a minimum day (1:00 dismissal).
To-Do List:
✅ Mark your calendars: no school on May 25th in observance of Memorial Day & June 4th is the last day of school.
✅ Ask your child about their reading goals and how you can support them at home!
✅ Check the Lost & Found!
In partnership with you,
Dr. Davina Stringer
