Cross Country Drumline 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

CHS COMMUNITY,

It was a tremendously spirited week at Chardon High School, capped off with a fun display of costumes on Friday as we headed into the Halloween weekend! This morning, that school spirit turned into proud support as we sent our Girls Cross Country team off with a rousing drumline performance. They are heading to compete in the highly anticipated Cross Country State Finals this weekend.

Thank you to Ms. Durk and the Student Council for organizing an excellent spirit week. Their efforts ensured the halls were filled with excitement, coordinating activities like pumpkin grams and facilitating lively games in the gym for students during their opposing lunch periods.

We also enjoyed hosting our youngest future Hilltoppers! Our CHS students welcomed the preschoolers and staff from CELC as they trick-or-treated the hallways, passing out candy to the little ones.

I hope everyone in the CHS community has a safe and fun Halloween!

2026 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY

We are pleased to announce that the Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2026 has been scheduled.

Tuesday, May 19, 7:00 PM @ Parkside Church

SCHEDULING OF STUDENT-ATHLETES

We understand the importance of avoiding conflicts with post-season athletics. I have worked closely with Mr. Doug Higham, our Athletic Director (AD), to select the best date during that week.

Due to the recent division changes in track (Chardon moving from Division 1 to Division 2) and the addition of two new divisions, we currently do not have a concrete date for the District Track Meet.

To secure the venue, we had to reserve the space based on our best estimate that Tuesday, May 19, will be conducive for all students and programs.

Enjoy your weekend!

Mr. Tomco

CHS AFTER PROM/PTO CHS AFTER PROM/PTO

Seeking a Dedicated Leader: Chair for PTO & After Prom 2026 Seeking a Dedicated Leader: Chair for PTO & After Prom 2026

Thank you again to everyone who attended the meeting last week and who continues to support our students.

As discussed, we're announcing the upcoming departure of Michelle Fisher from her role as PTO and After Prom Chair. We cannot thank Michelle enough for her outstanding leadership over the past few years, which included skillfully managing our concessions, coordinating meetings, and ensuring the success of the After Prom event.

After Prom event is a truly FANTASTIC and memorable experience for our Juniors and Seniors.

The success of these programs relies entirely on having a dedicated volunteer at the helm. We are now actively seeking a new PTO/After Prom Chair to lead our organization NEXT YEAR (2026-27) and continue the tradition of providing a safe, memorable, and high-quality post-Prom celebration.

If you are interested in learning more about this vital leadership opportunity, please contact Mr. Tomco directly at adam.tomco@chardonschools.org to discuss the position details.
