Snow Day Procedures

It's that time of year again when we start preparing for wintery weather. As always, I will make that call as early as possible. When I do, I will send a text message and an email, and that goes out to parents who are in our student information system. If you are not already receiving regular texts and emails from us, your information may not be in the system, or we may not have the correct phone number or email address. Please contact the building secretary to update your information. Closings will also be posted on our Facebook page, website, and on local TV stations.

We also have procedures in place for a 2-hour late start when road conditions look like they will improve in time to start at 10:00 a.m. On those days, we will not serve breakfast, and buses will run 2 hours later than usual. This notification will also be sent as early as possible so parents can make morning arrangements if needed. If inclement weather should start during the school day forcing us to close early, we will also give as much notification as possible, but please have a plan for this if it should happen; sometimes the weather changes quickly and we don't have much time to notify parents.

As with everything we do, student safety is our number one concern, and snow day calls are sometimes difficult to make. I appreciate your cooperation as we make plans for inclement weather.

We learned about shapes and built houses.

We also played our own version of heads up practicing math equations.

We did magic water color by writing our names in white crayon and used water colors to magically make it appear.
