NextPath Platform for student information
NextPath is a secure online platform our school will begin using to share student assessment information with families. This will be a new way for you to view your child’s test results in one place, along with helpful explanations of what those scores mean.
We are using NextPath to provide more timely and clear communication about student progress. Instead of waiting for paper reports, you will be able to access your child’s results as they become available and refer back to them at any time. The platform is designed to make assessment information easier to understand and to help you see your child’s growth over time.
As we get started, your child’s teacher will guide you on how to access NextPath. Of course, if you have any questions about the platform or your child’s results, we are always happy to help.
All Families: Please "claim" your child on NextPath
Set up your NextPath account and "claim" your child(ren)

8th Grader's Last Week
It’s hard to believe we are already talking about the last week of school! Preparations for our 8th Grade Promotion Night are officially underway. I will continue to share updates about this special event and other end-of-year details throughout the spring.
At this time, here is what we have scheduled:
-
The 8th grade end-of-year field trip is tentatively planned for Tuesday, May 26.
-
Wednesday, May 27th, 8th grade students will not have classes prior to 8th Grade Promotion.
-
Promotion Night pictures will begin at approximately 4:30 p.m.
-
The ceremony will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m., followed by a short reception.
8th grade Promotion stoles will be purchased in a bulk order through the school for cost savings. A fee has been added to Skyward for each student ($15). They can have the stole as a keepsake.
No tickets are needed for 8th Grade Promotion.
Reception to follow the Promotion ceremony. PTO will be hosting a dinner as part of the reception.
We look forward to celebrating our 8th grade students and will share additional information as plans are finalized.
Positive Postcard Recipients
Great Work, Raiders!
Each week, we celebrate students who earn Positive Postcards for demonstrating outstanding character in friendship, respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, and caring. These students are recognized for the everyday choices they make that help create a safe, kind, and supportive school community. We are proud of their leadership and the positive example they set for others.

Getting Ready to Prevent the Summer Slump
With about six weeks left in the school year, now is a great time to help your child prepare for a successful summer of reading. One of the best things you can do is work together to create a simple summer reading plan before school even ends.
Start by helping your child build a list of books they’re excited to read—visit the library, attend book fairs, or ask their teacher for recommendations. You can also begin establishing a routine now by setting aside 10–15 minutes each day for reading, so it becomes a natural habit by summer. Consider creating a reading chart or goal (number of books, minutes per day, etc.) and talking about when and where reading will fit into your summer schedule.
Taking a little time now to plan ahead helps ensure that reading stays consistent, enjoyable, and stress-free all summer long—setting your child up for a strong start next school year!
