PAWS for Applause Assembly

Over the course of the next three weeks, all of our students will be participating in NWEA testing. The results of these tests allow us to provide instruction that is tailored to student achievement data. These test results also help us measure your student’s academic growth throughout the school year as they are administered three times each year (Fall, Winter, Spring).

If you have any questions or would like more information about the NWEA tests, please feel free to contact Mrs. Gensch at 989-642-5235.

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the Michigan School Meals Program, EVERY child at Hemlock Public School District, pre-K through 12th grade, will now be able to enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast and lunch for FREE!

Not only will this amazing program lighten the load on your wallet (we all know kids can eat their way through a pantry), but it'll save you precious time in the morning.

Now, here's the nitty-gritty: Although the meals are free, we do need all our parents to fill out the new free/reduced lunch application. This data is super important as it helps secure state and federal funding for this fantastic initiative.

Here's to full bellies, vibrant minds, and the #huskietastic school year ahead!

There are several spirit days, field trips, and field day when we encourage students to wear a grade-level color. We are offering class color shirts and sweatshirts that will make it easier for students to decide what to wear on these days. Get your child's class color shirt by using the link below. The online ordering window ends September 3rd. Delivery is expected the week of September 16th.

We are in need of water bottles for the upcoming school year. If you are able to donate, please drop them off in the office. Thank you!

Did you know that almost every Friday PTO sponsors “Popcorn Friday”? They do this to help our teachers raise money for their classrooms. 100% of the profits from each week go back to the teacher. These are a huge success, because of you…our parent volunteers! Our first popcorn sale is scheduled for Friday, September 13th. Funds will be used to support Ms. Hollingsworth's classroom. The special flavor is caramel.
