TOP HEADLINES
This month reminds us that individuals with developmental disabilities are valuable members of our community and deserve full participation in all aspects of life, including education, employment, recreation, and civic engagement. While March provides an opportunity for heightened awareness, true awareness happens when we commit to creating accessible environments and productive opportunities year-round. Recognizing disability history will enable students with disabilities to see themselves in history and history-makers and feel a greater sense of pride.
CVUSD is committed to meeting the educational needs of all students in our schools and encourages our schools to reflect on the impact of artists, innovators, and leaders in the disability community, celebrate student achievements, advocate for their rights, and promote understanding and inclusivity with the goal of creating a more inclusive society.
