Osgood Second Graders Presenting at the School Committee Wednesday
Osgood students will be presenting at the School Committee meeting on Wednesday, 21 January, to share how they developed and presented the first of our monthly school-wide assemblies. School Committee meetings start at 6:00pm and we are first on the agenda! Click the link below for the agenda.
First School-wide Assembly
As part of our work on our School Improvement Plan, we are beginning monthly school-wide assemblies. Here are some pictures from our first assembly, which was a refresher on our school-wide expectations. It was planned and presented by a wonderful group of 12 second graders who were only given Mrs. Gaudette's slideshow from the beginning of the year...they came up with the rest!
Calling All Green-Minded Caregivers!
PSO is partnering with us to create a group of caregivers who would support the Osgood in going more green. Julia Hook, parent of twin kindergarteners, is helping to coordinate a Green Team, who will focus on maximizing our garden usage and expanding into more green activities such as recycling, composting, riding and walking to school, etc.
We believe in not only teaching valuable green habits, but involving students and community in as many ways as possible. However, we cannot do it alone. If you are interested in being a part of this effort, please reach out to Julia Hook at Jul3306@gmail.com
We'd love to hear your voice!
As part of our district’s strategic planning work, our Communications Committee is seeking feedback from families through a brief communication survey. Your input will help us better understand what’s working, where we can improve, and how we can strengthen communication between the district and our school community.
The survey is short, anonymous, and incredibly valuable. We encourage all families to participate and share their perspectives.
Thank you for helping us continue to grow and improve together.

What Expertise Can YOU Offer Our Students?
Cohasset is a community comprised of experts in a wide variety of fields. In order to deliver more authentic, hands-on, project-based learning experiences to students, the Cohasset School Committee, in collaboration with district leadership, is working to develop a "Community Resource Guide." This Guide will serve as an invaluable resource to our classroom teachers and school staff, as it will provide them with a comprehensive database of all stakeholders and interested parties who are willing to share their background, experience, and expertise in furtherance of our mission to Empower Students to Improve Communities.
There are many different ways in which one might participate in this endeavor, including classroom presentations, hosting or facilitating field trips, creating shadow or internship opportunities, or assisting with project-based learning experiences.
If you are willing to share your unique talents, passions, interests, and/or expertise, please click this link to fill out a brief interest form. We thank you for your willingness to volunteer your time in order to deliver impactful learning experiences to CPS students.
Onward and Upward,
Your School Committee
