Today was such a special day at Fox Ridge! Our annual PTO Fundraiser and Fox Trot was a huge success. The kids ran their hearts out and had so much fun while helping to raise money to support our PTO. We are so grateful for your encouragement and generosity. The final fundraising total will be shared soon—thank you for making this tradition such a joyful and meaningful event for our school!
Looking ahead, next week is an important one as we prepare for conferences. Students and teachers have been working hard to set individual goals and reflect on their learning. Conferences at the elementary level are always a wonderful opportunity to partner with families. They are a time for students to see that their teachers and parents are on the same team—cheering them on, supporting them at school, and reinforcing their growth at home. Our teachers bring professional expertise and a deep understanding of each child to these conversations, and we greatly value the collaboration that happens when educators and families come together.
Next Wednesday, October 2, we will also celebrate Walk and Roll to School Day. Families are encouraged to walk or ride to school that morning. For those who are not able to, all students will still get the chance to participate by joining us on the back blacktop from 8:50–9:05 for a schoolwide walk. Afterward, we will say the Pledge together and begin our day with energy and community spirit.
Thank you for all the ways you support Fox Ridge—it is a joy to celebrate and grow together!

New District 303 attendance procedures-removal of prearranged absences
District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.
Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.
Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
Here is a link that takes you to the section of the handbook that is dedicated to attendance. In addition, the district created magnets for all to support keeping track of absences. These were sent home with students yesterday or today.
