Husky Update

Monday, January 26th will be a non-student day for all schools in the WCUSD. All teachers will be participating in a Professional Development Day.

In an effort to reduce the number of tardies between class periods and after breaks, we are conducting random tardy sweeps. After the tardy bell rings, no student will be allowed to enter the classroom until one of our security or administrators have recorded their names on the tardy sweep log. Students will be issued a detention if they are caught in the tardy sweep. We ask that you please have a conversation with your student regarding the importance of getting to each class on time. Together, we can work to maximize their learning time in the classroom. We thank you in advance for your support!

This is a reminder that student cell phones need to be off and in their backpacks during class time. No phones should be kept in pockets or sweaters. The use of cell phones is prohibited in bathrooms and locker rooms. Students are allowed to use their cell phones before school, during Nutrition, during Lunch and after school. This policy has cut down classroom distractions significantly and we appreciate all of the parent support that we have received. Students have been more focused in class and ready to learn!

Please remind your students to come to school each day with their agendas and their chromebooks fully charged. Chromebooks and Agendas are part of their daily materials and they are a vital part of daily classroom activities.

This is a reminder that students are not allowed to have food delivered to the school. All students need to bring their lunch from home or get their lunch from the cafeteria. If a PARENT would like to hand deliver lunch to a student, they must meet them in the office and hand it to them. PARENTS MAY ONLY BRING LUNCH FOR THEIR OWN STUDENT. No lunches will be able to be left in the office for pickup. If any food delivery service, such as UberEats, DoorDash, Postmates, etc., tries to deliver food to the office for students, then it will be refused and Hollencrest will not be responsible for reimbursements.
