Dear Buccaneers,
We had an amazing first week at SOM! I would like to THANK:
- our entire SOM Team and our parents for their continuous support during our first week of school
- our counselors for making sure that each one of our students had a full schedule
- Our front office staff, our counselors, our nurse, our psychologist, our CIS coordinator, our assistant principals, and everyone else involved in registering students this past week
- our HYPE team for a very successful opening of our before and after school program
- Ms. Gutierrez, Ms. Zamora-Barba, Mr. Salazar, and Mr. Garnica-Mendoza for a very successful iPad deployment
- Ms. ParreƱas for organizing our first PEP assembly of the year
- our cafeteria staff for serving meals to each one of our students
- our campus assistants and our IAs for helping our students feel welcome by showing them around campus
- to our teachers for making our students feel welcome and appreciated
We have another great week ahead of us. Let us make it an amazing one by being cautious and following our safety protocols:
- Please wear your masks indoors and when you are not eating
- Please wash your hands constantly
- Maintain social distance whenever possible
We will start administering our English level set test and our Math diagnostic test on Monday and Tuesday. These assessments will give us more information regarding placement. We will be moving students into accelerated courses based on performance on these assessments. Students, please do your best. We wish you the best!
Buccaneer parents, students, and staff, thank you again for your commitment to excellence!
May we have an amazing full first week fo school!
