Inspire Success: Executive Director
A message from Inspire Success
A New Chapter Begins: Welcoming Our Executive Director!
We have exciting news to share! The Inspire Success Board is thrilled to announce the appointment of Aimee Portteus as our Executive Director, effective November 1, 2025.
As Inspire Success celebrates its 25th year of empowering students, schools, and communities across Indiana and the Midwest, we couldn't be more enthusiastic about Aimee leading the way forward.
Why Aimee is the Right Leader
Aimee is a familiar and deeply respected member of the Inspire Success family, having served as our Director of School Counseling Initiatives since 2021 and Interim Executive Director since May. For over two decades prior, she was the Director of School Counseling at Plymouth High School. Her extensive experience in the classroom and her dedication to student success give her a unique, firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our educators and partners.
Board Chair Carol Lincoln shared the Board's enthusiasm: “Aimee's extensive experience in supporting educators and schools to increase student success and her skill in connecting vision to action make her a terrific choice. The Board is excited by the energy and commitment she brings to this position.”
Building on a Legacy of Success
Aimee is honored to step into this role and continue the incredible work started by visionary leaders like Sue Reynolds and Matt Fleck.
“It is an incredible honor to be asked to serve as the next Executive Director of Inspire Success,” said Portteus. “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue advancing the mission of an organization that has long worked alongside educators and nonprofit partners in Indiana and beyond to empower those who dedicate their lives to helping students succeed.”
Looking Ahead: Expanding Our Impact
Under Aimee's leadership, we will be focusing on implementing a new strategic plan designed to amplify our reach and effectiveness. This plan includes directing the expansion of key initiatives you already know and support, such as:
Our READY career coaching initiative.
Programs supporting Career and Technical Education (CTE) and teachers of the Preparing for College and Careers (PCC) course.
The essential support we provide to school counselors through the Carrying the Torch to Student Success initiative.
And so much more!
We are so excited for the future and the positive impact we will continue to make together in student achievement, well-being, and readiness. Please join us in warmly welcoming Aimee to her new role!
Aimee holds a Master of Science in Education (Counseling and Human Services) from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. She resides in Plymouth, IN.
