CHS Entrepreneurship Visits Magnum Enterprises
Custer High School’s entrepreneurship class visited Magnum Enterprises in Rapid City last week to learn how the nation’s leading seller and manufacturer of rubber band guns operates.
Owner Dan Smith guided us through the manufacturing process, shared the history of his business, the lessons he has learned along the way, and offered advice for students interested in starting their own businesses.
We were especially grateful that he took the time to let students make their own Arrowcopter and sent everyone home with a rubber band gun, all made in Rapid City using American-made materials.
VFW Donation
“A a huge thank you goes out to the VFW and Corey Virtue (VFW member and Custer School Board Member) for the generous donation they made to our students who will get to travel to Washington D.C. in March to experience our nation’s capital.”

ACT Prep
CSD NEW Library Webpage
ATTENTION: Parents of college-bound Juniors and Seniors: The Library has a new webpage with resources you and your student may find useful in the ACT section. One page is full of “ACT Prep Resources” for the students. The “Why Does It Matter” page highlights scholarship opportunities offered through the Board of Regents and South Dakota universities, along with information on the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) for students interested in attending one of the 160 colleges across the 16 Western states. Christmas Break may be a good time to start preparing for the ACT and refining post-graduation plans.
