Family and Community Newsletter V31

As the school year comes to a close, we want to thank our families for another wonderful year of learning and growth. Summer is a time for rest, fun, and making memories, but it is also a great opportunity to help children maintain the reading skills they worked so hard to build throughout the school year.

Research shows that students who continue reading during the summer are better prepared for success when they return to school in the fall. The good news is that reading can happen anywhere—at home, at the park, on a road trip, or during a visit to the library!

We honor your hard work, perseverance, resilience, and dedication. Each late night of studying, every challenge overcome, and every goal achieved has led you to this incredible milestone.

South San Antonio ISD celebrated the amazing new teachers as they wrapped up their first year of teaching!

Together they reflected on the year, celebrated successes, set goals for the future, and embraced our theme: “You bloomed where you were planted.”

We are so grateful for their hard work, dedication, resilience, and the impact they’ve already made on our students and school community. Watching them grow this year has been inspiring, and we cannot wait to see them continue to bloom in Year 2!
