Principal Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we head into the final weeks of the school year, we have a few important reminders and updates to help ensure a smooth and successful wrap-up for all students. Please take a few moments to read through the following information.
End-of-Year Returns
As the year comes to a close, we are collecting school-owned items that students have used throughout the year. Please help your child return the following:
-
Library Books: All books borrowed from the library should be returned to our librarian.
-
Chromebooks and Chargers:
-
All Chromebooks and chargers must be returned to school on Wednesday, June 11th.
-
If your child is missing their charger, please submit a ticket for a replacement. There is a $15 fee for lost chargers.
-
Students must return both the Chromebook and charger in order to receive their device in the fall. Students keep and use the same Chromebook each year, so returning it on time is important.
-
Students who do not bring both items on June 11th will be asked to call home to have them dropped off.
-
Devices and chargers will be moved to students’ new homerooms on Step Up Day in preparation for next year.
-
Chromebook cases will NOT be collected. Students should keep their case at home for the summer, as they will continue using it next year and will not be issued a new one.
-
Field Day – Monday, June 9th (Rain Date: June 10th)
We’re excited for one of the most anticipated days of the year—Field Day! Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for supporting this fun-filled day. Here are a few tips to help your child have a great day:
-
Please send your child to school with plenty of water and apply sunscreen before they arrive.
-
Students may refill water bottles at school, or you may choose to send them with more than one. We highly recommend labeling all water bottles.
-
Extra snacks are encouraged due to the increased activity throughout the day.
-
Grade 5 students will wear their tie-dye shirts.
-
Grade 6 students should wear the color designated by their class.
Grade 6 Canobie Lake Park Trip – Friday, June 13th
Our 6th graders are looking forward to their big trip to Canobie Lake Park!
Please remember:
-
All permission slips and payments should already be turned in. Students without a permission slip will not be allowed to attend.
-
Each 6th grade student will receive a trip t-shirt, which must be worn to Canobie.
-
The regular school dress code applies on this day. Please make sure shirts are worn as provided—no crop tops or alterations.
-
We appreciate your help in reminding students that they are representing their school and community, and to act accordingly during the trip.
Thank you for your continued partnership in making this school year a success. We appreciate your support and look forward to a fun and smooth end to the year!

Robotics Club
The Windham Center School Robotics Group was an exciting and collaborative environment, where students eagerly gathered to explore the world of robotics using LEGO systems. Each session buzzed with creativity as teams designed and built intricate robots, learning to integrate sensors and motors to bring their creations to life. Students experimented with coding, troubleshooting challenges, and celebrating each small victory, fostering a sense of teamwork and problem-solving. The hands-on experience not only sparked their interest in STEM but also built lasting friendships as they shared ideas, tackled obstacles, and prepared for friendly competitions that showcased their innovative designs and programming skills.

Important Car Drop Off and Pick Up Safety Notice
The safety of our staff and students is our top priority. When dropping off or picking up your child(ren), please follow the directions of our staff members holding stop signs. Students should not enter or exit vehicles until instructed by a staff member.
Additionally, we have installed two new signs at the Grade 6 crosswalk that read, “Do not block crosswalk.” These signs help ensure students can cross safely without having to navigate between cars.
