An Update from Jason
Dear MHS,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend despite the rainy Sunday and cooler weather. Phoebe came home Friday night until June 1 and made it through another year of Nursing school. Whew. :) Lily G is officially done at UVM and is just waiting for graduation day on Sunday. Renee is off to Seattle on Monday, and I am a wreck about the Knicks in the NBA Basketball playoffs. That sums up my weekend.
This week! AP testing continues, the school board meeting on Wednesday, more field trips, more spring sports, a webinar about the adolescent brain on Tuesday, and we end the week with Pizza for the People. We continue to interview candidates for Registrar, Admin Assistant, and Thrive. At Monday's faculty meeting, we will continue to discuss our LEs and review a draft proposal for new weights. It should be a great week!
Your appreciations for each other are truly heartwarming. They not only brighten our days but also contribute to the strong sense of community we have here. We're going to keep them up for a while and hope to see more notes added. Thank you for your continuous efforts in building this wonderful community.
As we step into a new week, I want to remind you all to prioritize your well-being. Take some time to enjoy the outdoors when you can, and remember to take care of yourselves. Wishing you a wonderful and fulfilling week ahead.
Best,
Jason
"You will never find one answer to what makes you happy. There are many answers, and they change based on your current state.
People need to relax, but if all you do is sit on the beach, it gets old. People find meaning in work, but if all you do is work, it gets exhausting. People benefit from exercise, but if all you do is exercise, it gets unhealthy.
Happiness will always be fleeting because your needs change over time. The question is: what do you need right now?"

Panorama Reminder: Here's a reminder that information in Panorama, including intervention plans and behavioral incidents, are all a part of a student's record. That means that caregivers can request access to read them. As you put information in Panorama, whether it be a behavior incident, support note, or an intervention plan, please be mindful of your potential audience.
Important:
We wanted to inform you about a couple of changes to the awards assembly this year. The first change is that we are going to announce the senior scholarship recipients at the awards ceremony and not read them as they cross the stage at graduation. The scholarships will still be listed in the graduation program. There will be parents and community members invited to the awards ceremony as a result of this change.
Secondly, we are discontinuing the book awards. Instead we are hoping to create departmental awards for juniors. Please work with your department members to come up with award criteria and 1-3 recipients. The awards assembly is June 12th from 2-3.
