Where has the time gone?! It's hard to believe we are already almost a full month into the school year! We held our PBIS kick-off assembly, held two Back to School Nights, celebrated our students return to school and so much more.

This coming month, we have multiple fun-filled opportunities and events for our students and school community. Please take a moment to look through the information below to see everything that we have in store. We hope to see you soon!

IMPORTANT OCTOBER DATES

Tuesday, October 1
PTO Meeting at 6:30pm in library

Monday, October 14

Remote Learning Day- On Scheduled Remote Learning Days, teachers will provide asynchronous work for students equal to a half day of instruction. Unlike the weather-related remote learning days, students will not attend Zoom sessions on scheduled remote days. All students will be marked present, unless reported as absent by their parent or guardian.

Tuesday, October 15

Red Mill is the Place to BEE Literacy Night 5:30-6:30pm (flier & additional information below)

Tuesday, October 22

4th Grade Swimming starts

Saturday, October 26

Red Mill Trunk or Treat 10:00am

Fall Fun Fest 11:30am - 1pm

*Both located here at Red Mill on the blacktop behind the building*

Thursday, October 31

Fall Classroom Parties- For those volunteering (as coordinated by our PTO), please come to the front vestibule. Office team members will be there to greet you and help get you pointed in the right direction.

AM Kindergarten- 10:45am

Grades 1-4 & PMK- 2:30pm

Mr. Scharlau News

We are excited to announce that Mr. Scharlau will soon be assuming the role of Acting Principal at Highland Elementary. We anticipate him starting at Highland in early/mid December and remaining there thru the duration of the 24-25 school year. While we will miss Mr. Scharlau dearly, we look forward to seeing all that he will soon accomplish while at Highland!
