Good Afternoon RPI Families,

As we are on the doorsteps of Thanksgiving and with Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to express my gratitude and thanks to all of you. Earlier this year, I challenged you to have conversations with your students about RESPECT. PRIDE. INTEGRITY...THE ROCKET WAY! Not only have you done that (and continue to do so) but your kids are showing it in all they do. Roughly 90% of our students have 0-1 Office Referrals! This is amazing when you consider that grades 5 and 6 are a time where students really start to test boundaries and are still figuring out who they are and who they want to be.

While this is a celebration, it certainly isn't an end point. We need to keep our foot on the gas and continue to have these conversations. If you have them, the teachers have them and the administrators have them, we will end our year with many more celebrations.

Pride: Satisfaction from achieving or belonging

Integrity: Doing what is right or expected

We only have school on Monday and Tuesday this week. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!

We are completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for this year's canned food drive! The food will help to fill the food pantry both in our school and our community. With your help, we collected 5373 food items to donate to local charities!!!!

If you are interested in lacrosse and have a student in grades K-8, please see this flier for more information!

1. Please remind students to bring coats, gloves, hats and boots to school as we will go outside during our lunch/recess time!
2. Please also remind them to wear bright-colored clothing and to stay off/out of the roads, if they are walking to and/or from school. We know that the new backpack lights will help, but being aware of our surroundings is the best way to stay safe! Watch where you are walking and stay on the lookout for cars!

All RPI parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend our Parent Connect Meetings. The next meeting is Thursday, December 12th, at 3:15pm in the student services office.
