End of the Year Ceremonies

It is hard to believe that we are already talking about the end of the 2023-24 school year! Please mark your calendars for these dates, as we celebrate all of the growth and accomplishments of our students:

Wednesday, May 22: 2nd Grade Awards

Thursday, May 23: 5th Grade Promotion, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th Grade Awards

Please note that both of these dates are early release, so our students will be dismissed at noon, and Thursday, May 23, is the LAST DAY of school!

All visitors who plan to attend these ceremonies will be required to scan in with a valid photo ID (ID card, drivers license, or passport) and get a visitors badge.

We hope to see you at these ceremonies! Thank you for your support!

Procedure Reminders

Cell Phone Procedures

Students in Grades K-5 are not allowed to use cell phones or watches with cell service accessibility while on campus property. If a student needs to have a phone with them, due to afterschool care communication, it must remain turned off and inside the students backpack until the student is off school property.

If a student is caught with a cell phone it will be taken up and turned into the office. The phone will not be released to the student. A parent/guardian will have to come to campus to pick up the cell phone.

The school is not responsible for any stolen or broken electronic devices.

2024 Incoming Summers MS 6th Grade Paw Camp - P.A.W. Camp Registration

Exciting news is coming for our soon-to-be sixth graders! The purpose of this half-day event is to welcome your child to Summers Middle School, meet some of the staff, make new friends, learn building locations and expectations, and begin to feel more at ease at Summers Middle School (This event is for students only, there will be parent night after school begins).

If you are interested in your incoming 6th grader attending PAW Camp at Summers Middle School on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m, please complete the following permission form, answer all the questions, and make the payment by July 8th, 2024. YMCA Summer Camp

Hi Elem Folks,

The YMCA is offering a sign up and save thing for next year's after school care. It's good savings for our families, so please spread the word. Thank you!

Early Bird Afterschool Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will open on May 3 and SPACE IS LIMITED! REGISTER anytime May 3-6 2024, and receive a 50% discount on the registration/supply fee ($45 savings per child!)

Registration/Supply Fees are one time annually for Afterschool, non-refundable, and non-transferable. www.ymcadallas.org/afterschool
