Volunteers will help cleaning-up and beautifying the school campus. The project includes activities such as weeding, spreading bark mulch, planting, and other tasks to help maintain their natural spaces and school grounds to make it a great place for students.

Once we have helped get the school into shape, we will head over to nearby Heist Food Carts to share time together over beverages, first round on us!

Congratulations to Woodstock artist, Emily Lu!

Emily was selected as one of just six student artists from the current PPS HeART of Portland exhibition to be featured during the City of Portland’s Arts Education Proclamation celebration at the Portland Art Museum!

On Tuesday, September 15, the Portland Art Museum, Portland Public Schools, and the City of Portland’s Office of Arts & Culture will gathered to celebrate National Arts in Education Week and the exceptional work of our student artists. National Arts in Education Week is an annual celebration held during the second week of September. Established by a congressional resolution in 2010, it highlights the transformative power of the arts -- including dance, music, theater, and visual arts -- in providing a complete, balanced education for all students.

Emily's artwork was selected to help represent the more than 100 student works in this year’s HeART of Portland exhibition. During the event, she was recognized and shared a few words about her artwork with guests in the gallery.

If you head to the Portland Art Museum, be sure to head down to the lower level to see Emily's art and that of the other Portland Public School Artists on display!

LOST & FOUND LOST & FOUND

Wondering where that jacket, hat, lunchbox, water bottle went? We have a lost and found that lives in the cafeteria and can be checked before school by going to the doors on the south side of the building by the dumpsters, or after school by checking in at the office.

Here are a few tips to ensure your students items are found:

  1. Remind your student not to leave clothing items they make take off at recess.
  2. Remind your student to check the rack for lost items (lunch time is a great time to check)
  3. Put your students first & last name in all items that can be removed during the day (jackets, extra shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc).

The lost & found rack and bin will be cleared out at the end of the school day every two weeks.

starting next Friday 9/25/26 the lost & found items will be cleared out, washed and donated to the PTA Clothing Closet. We have added the dates to our school calendar.
