Dear SGB Families,

Dear SGB Families,

As we approach the final days of an incredible school year at St. Gregory Barbarigo, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments. We’re excited to celebrate all that your children have accomplished as we wrap up the 2024–2025 school year together.

Please take note of the following important events and reminders:

🌟 Moving Up and Graduation Ceremonies

  • UPK Moving Up for Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Kissane’s classes is today, June 10, at 9:00 AM.

  • Pre-K Moving Up for Ms. Desch’s class will take place tomorrow, June 11, at 9:00 AM.

  • Kindergarten Graduation for Ms. Collins’ class is on Thursday, June 12, at 9:00 AM.

  • 8th Grade Graduation will be held on Friday, June 13, beginning with Mass at 5:00 PM, followed by the graduation ceremony in the SGB Auditorium.

🎉 Special Events

  • Our 8th Grade Graduation Dinner Dance is tonight, June 10, at Patriot Hills from 7:00–10:00 PM.

  • The SGB Talent Show will be held for families and friends on Thursday night, June 12, at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family at the door. Proceeds will support the SGB Theater Program.

  • A student-only performance of the Talent Show will take place Friday morning, June 13, at 9:00 AM.

📚 End-of-Year Reminders

  • Report cards will be sent home on Monday, June 16.

  • All tuition balances must be paid in full or payment plans established with the Archdiocese in order for students to participate in end-of-year activities and receive final report cards.

👕 Dress Code & Dismissal

  • The final day for school uniforms is Thursday, June 12.

  • Students may enjoy Dress Down Days on Friday, June 13 and Monday, June 16. Please ensure they wear sneakers and clothing appropriate for school.

  • Both of these days will be early dismissal days, with an 11:00 AM dismissal.

🎒 Looking Ahead

  • If you have gently used uniform donations, please drop them off (clean and in good condition) by June 20.

  • The first SGB Consignment Shop for the 2025–2026 school year will take place in August (date to be announced).

  • Students will be sent home with summer work and reading assignments. We encourage every student to find joy in reading for fun during the summer months.

Reading aloud to your child—even just for a few minutes a day—has powerful benefits: it boosts vocabulary, builds empathy, strengthens family bonds, and fosters a lifelong love of learning. It’s one of the simplest ways to support your child’s success as a reader and a student.

Thank you once again for being a part of the SGB family. We look forward to celebrating these last special days with you and wish your family a joyful and restful summer break!

God bless,
Ms. Clarke

Happy Retirement!

On behalf of everyone at SGB, we wish Mrs. Leonard and Ms. Mulligan our best wishes on their retirement. They have dedicated their lives and careers to Catholic Education and our students at St. Gregory Barbarigo have greatly benefited from both of them. Their years of service show a dedication, love, and commitment to our students and faith. We wish them both the very best on their next chapter! May it continue to be rooted in love, faith, and happiness.

NEW: Join our "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR" Ministry to help new SGB Families! NEW: Join our "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR" Ministry to help new SGB Families!

We're excited to introduce a beautiful new initiative for the upcoming school year - the St. Gregory Barbarigo School "Love Thy Neighbor" Ministry.

Rooted in Christ's call to community and compassion, this ministry pairs veteran SGB families with those who are new to our school, whether they are just starting in Kindergarten or transferring from another community. The goal is simple: to help each new family feel welcomed, supported, and part of the SGB family from day one.

We are currently inviting veteran parents to serve as "Love Thy Neighbor" partners who are friendly, faith-filled volunteers who can offer guidance, extend hospitality, and be a reassuring presence for new families as they transition into our school community. Enrollment for 2025-2026 is strong (special thanks to our NICHE profile that helps families find out about SGB online!) and this would be a helpful way to welcome all our new families!

This is a wonderful opportunity for those who naturally lead with kindness, encourage others, and model the positive, welcoming spirit we treasure at SGB. Volunteers will be paired with a family in early September and asked to check in periodically, answer questions, share helpful information, and invite them to school events or gatherings as they feel comfortable. Basically to be a go to resource for a new family that may need a little assistance.

If you're someone who believes in building up community, avoiding negativity, and being a source of encouragement and light for others, we would love for you to join us in this important ministry.

Interested in volunteering?
Please click here and sign up by July 1 so we can introduce you to your new family.

With gratitude,
Ms. Clarke
