Fresh Start Breath
Maybe you’re like me. Always in need of a reset. Growth and progress in certain areas, but then I find I have let up in others and it comes out badly (behavior or thought life.) Sometimes I brush it off, other times I ask for forgiveness….then there’s the next part….change, growth and practice. In recovery we say “progress not perfection” which I cling to as a reset-er! In yoga we say “plan your practice.” That for me means asking what helps me connect to God in conversation, listening, praise, adoration, asking and repentance / forgiveness? In my tool belt I go to prayer, reading The Word, yoga, meditation and service. The one that I go to in the car or in the moment: breath prayer. Below is a verse with a suggested breath prayer (see bottom of newsletter for details on breath prayer.) The Spirit might stir a completely different prayer in you. Fantastic. You and the Holy Spirit are co-creating. Peace be with you; namaste.
“God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. Don’t throw me out with the trash, or fail to breathe holiness in me.” Psalm 51:10-11 msg
Inhale holiness
Exhale mistakes
