Hello everyone!

Grandparents Day is this Friday!

We have had such a great week so far, and we are looking forward to ending it with a special day. This Friday, we will be welcoming grandparents and special friends to join us for Grandparents Day. It is such a joy to see our students light up when their loved ones walk through the door, and we cannot wait to celebrate together.

Basketball news: Mr. Laws will be coaching our 5th-6th grade basketball team this season!!!!!!!!! Practice and game details are coming soon, so stay tuned.

Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our community. Have a blessed rest of the week!

Prayer

Father, we thank You for today. The grace and blessings each day brings are from You alone. This week, as we recognize our elders, who have labored in love to see us grow, we ask You to help us love each other more deeply and to show a passion not only for You but for our lost world.

Book Fair

The book fair is this week! It is in full swing and will run through Grandparents' Day on Friday. If you can't make it in person, you can buy books online at our school's page below:

https://i55bookfairs.com/pages/mn066

Please be sure to use that link because that is the only way our school gets credit for online purchases. The more books we sell, the more we can invest back into the school!

Also, if you have some books at home that just sit on the shelf, please consider bringing them to the fair to donate to Redeemer's library. You will receive a discount on your book fair purchase!

Veterans Day

We are honored to celebrate Veterans Day together on Wednesday, November 11th. This is a special time for our school family to pause and thank the men and women who have served our country. If you or someone you love is a veteran, we would be so glad to have you join us.

Our students will be showing their gratitude through songs, words of thanks, and moments of honor for those who have given so much. It means a great deal to our kids to see the people behind the service, and we cannot wait to welcome you.

Please join us as we honor our veterans and celebrate the freedom they have protected. We'll share the time and details soon.

If you have a veteran you would like us to recognize, let us know. We would love to make sure no one is missed.

  • RSVP forms will be located in the Church lobby and School lobby. Please drop off payment and forms to either Tammy or Natalie at the School Welcome Desk. (Forms will be sent home with the youngest and/or only child this week.

Mission Quilts and School Kits! Service Project for Redeemer Church and School

On Wednesday, November 11th, at 6 pm, members and friends of Redeemer Church and Redeemer Christian Academy will gather to pack Mission Quilts and School Kits.

We will send these to children and adults around the world.

This is a project of Lutheran World Relief (LWR). The information on the next few pages will help you better understand how you can make a quilt, buy a blanket (as long as it fits the guidelines described in the pages below), and/or assemble a School Kit, then bring it on (or before) Wednesday, November 11 our service project night at Wednesday Night Connect. Please read the instructions below before you start your quilt, or assemble your School Kit. You may also donate money toward these projects if you would prefer to support them in this way.

The deadline for financial donations is Sunday, November 1st. Please make a check out to Redeemer Lutheran Church. In the memo line write

(LWR Quilts and Kits).

Thank you for participating in this worthwhile cause!

In Christ,

Pastor Steve

Almost Christmas...

December will show up in what feels like five minutes, and you will be standing in the driveway at 11 pm on Christmas Eve, wishing you had done something about the front door!

So let’s get ahead of it, and support RCA while we’re at it! This year’s Christmas Floral and Greens Fundraiser is with Gregor Farms, a local, family-owned nursery in Wayzata that has been around for 50 years. You can order poinsettias (6.5-inch for $18, 8-inch for $32), 24-inch Noble Fir wreaths for $40, and door swags for $28, with your choice of festive bows. A generous portion of every purchase goes back to RCA for general funds and classroom needs. They also make great gifts for teachers, neighbors, and grandparents!

Order forms are due back to school by November 10, with cash or a check made payable to RCA, and everything will be delivered on December 2. You can find the order form here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1konYujLyAWNmlJiEBLTbYieMtsJJQOJu/view

Thank you for supporting our school and helping us start the holiday season with a little less stress and a lot more greenery!

Year Book!

YEARBOOK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We’re looking for a few more parent volunteers to help us put together this year’s Redeemer yearbook! The best part? Most of the work can be done from home, on your own time! You don’t need to be a yearbook expert—we’ll have a few in-person get-togethers to walk you through the design program and get you ready to jump in.

Come help us capture the smiles, the silly moments, the big accomplishments, and all the little memories that make this school year special! No experience necessary—just bring your creativity and willingness to help!

Interested? Please contact Ms. Theis or Viktoria Anderson. We’d love to have you on our team!

From building Bible scenes and minifigure worlds to towers, robots, and unique vehicles, each challenge gives students a chance to put their ideas into action. • Coding Club is a hands-on, creative experience for students in grades 6–8 where coding meets LEGO building! Students will learn how to create and use code to bring LEGO builds to life, exploring how programming, problem-solving, and engineering work together. Through a variety of challenges and projects, students will experiment, troubleshoot, and develop their coding skills while designing builds that move, respond, and perform different tasks.
