PARADE INFORMATION - PLEASE REVIEW CAREFULLY
This is an event/opportunity for our 8th grade students in Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band to perform with the DHS Marching Band for their biggest audience this school year.
Performance Attire is Band Spirit Shirt, Black Shorts, and Tennis Shoes. Sunscreen, Sunglasses, and Hats are highly recommended and encouraged.
Students will be provided water after the parade. Please make sure your student is well hydrated the day before the parade. No heavy foods or dairy products for breakfast the day of the parade.
If a student wishes to carry water, it must be on a strap or have a carrier. If a student has a CamelBak, this would be an appropriate time to utilize it.
Students will ride to and from the parade as a band on CISD provided transportation.
Your student is responsible for any personal belongings they take with them.
This will be a fun and memorable event!

Practice = Progress
Reminder...The Band Hall is open every morning for students to come practice. We frequently have organized practices/rehearsals, however, at least one of our band rooms is open for students to practice as needed. Students should be practicing their instrument daily, whether at home or during tutorials time. This should add up to at least 100 minutes of practicing per week. This is necessary for your student to continue to improve and progress appropriately through the curriculum.
