CMHS Parent Newsletter

The start of school has been a whirlwind and we are so happy to have our students back on campus and learning. Thank you for your support as we navigate a new school year in our beautiful new building. Our students and teachers are working hard already and we have so many great things going on at CMHS. It’s going to be a fantastic year!

Go Foxes!

We will have our second pep rally of the year on 9/9 at CMHS. We will be announcing the homecoming court at this pep rally. This will begin at 3:20pm and parents will park in the student parking lot and sign in through the side gym entrance. Please remember to bring your ID. Doors will open at 3:00pm.

At CMHS, we utilize the knockout program to eliminate zeros in the gradebook. On Monday morning, administrators will pull a list of all missing assignments from the previous week and notify students that they will be at the knockout table to work on their assignments while eating lunch. Once students clear their missing work, they will be able to return to their normal lunch. Students have until the end of the school day on Tuesday of each week to complete work. If they do not, they will be required to stay for knockout school after school on Tuesday from 3:45-5:45. Parents will be notified if their student is on the knockout program by the teachers. If a student does not complete the work at knockout school, they will receive a zero for the assignment.

Our goal is to help our students stay on top of their work and minimize the grade issues caused by too many zeros. We appreciate the help and support that our parents/guardians offer with this program!

Notes for absences must be turned in to the office by 4:00pm on the day the student returns. For questions regarding attendance or to submit a note electronically, please contact ngrant@caddomillsisd.org

Outside date forms will be available for pick up in the front office. They will be due by Wednesday, September 14th.

DRESS CODE FOR CMHS HOMECOMING DANCE:

● Two piece, see through, or cut out middles can only have a one inch or less gap.

● Dresses with extremely cut backs, or sides are prohibited. No deep-cut fronts are allowed. Length/slits must be at minimum fingertip length.

● Boys are required to wear proper formal attire.
