Lumberjacks,

As Summer is winding down and our thoughts start focusing on the start of the 2024-2025 school year, I am hopeful that each of us is ready for a great start to the school year! I want to take a moment and welcome a new member of the Lumberjack Family, Dr. Jeffrey Jachlewski, our new school superintendent. Dr. Jachlewski officially replaced Mr. Woytila, who retired, on Wednesday, July 31st.

The start of each school year brings about strong feelings of optimism and hope. Our mission of being members of the Lumberjack Family is to support and nurture the goals and aspirations of our members. I often speak about what it looks and sounds like to be a Lumberjack. I hope that each of us makes the greatest effort to mentor and lead by example by being strong and dedicated Lumberjacks, as we kickoff the 2024-2025 school year.

Just as last school year, our main entrance (flagpole) will open at 7:00 AM each school day. Students will remain in the Cafeteria Wing until the breakfast bell rings to release students to the main academic areas of the building. Breakfast and lunch are free for ALL NTHS students again this school year.

I hope everyone enjoys the few remaining days of our Summer Recess and are ready for an amazing new school year, as One Lumberjack Family!

Mr. Bradley W. Rowles

This school year, the North Tonawanda City School District is excited to announce that we will be participating with the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program for the 2024-2025 school year. The CEP Program allows EVERY student within the NTSCD to receive one free breakfast and lunch meal every school day. As a requirement of the CEP Program, each family ,must complete and submit a Household Income Form. The completion of this documents allows us to maintain our participation in this food service program and opens pathways for additional funding opportunities. A QR Code link to the form is listed below. Paper copies of the Household Income Form will be mailed home shortly.

Students are expected to be in school on time each day. 1st period begins at 7:40 AM.

The Commissioner of Education recognizes the following actions as excused/legitimate absences from school:

• Court appearance

• Illness

• Family death

• Education

• Local impassable road

A legitimate written excuse must be provided to the Attendance Office within three days of an absence.

Please contact the Attendance Office with any questions or concerns

Please plan accordingly for the morning student drop off. Many of our students are dropped off by parents/guardians or drive themselves to school. The large number of cars on our campus in the morning can lead to traffic-related congestion. This congestion is at its highest impact from 7:15 - 7:35 AM. Please be mindful of traffic congestion, one way traffic flow entering and exiting the Meadow Campus, and your vehicle's speed.
