Principal's Update
This week at Braintree, a beloved tradition returned after a Covid hiatus: the Winter Carnival! Our primary students enjoyed rotations through activities like popcorn over the fire, snowman building, and bean bag toss. Thank you to Ms. C, the primary teachers, and our older student chaperones for bringing back such a fun event!
As you may have heard, OSSD is building our Portrait of a Graduate, a snapshot of the characteristics, traits, and experiences that should be shared by every student who graduates from OSSD schools. We are collecting ideas from every stakeholder in the district, including students, families, staff, and other community members. Please have your voice heard by completing our 3 question Portrait of a Graduate survey.

The 5th & 6th graders had a Zoom meeting with 2 lawyers from the environmental division of the Vermont Attorney General's office. The kids heard about the types of cases they work on in order to preserve Vermont's lands and provide a safe environment for wildlife and Vermonters. Lots of great questions from the concerned citizens of Braintree 5th/6th!
